Jay has a unique and diverse background with twenty years in the design and construction industry that allows him to excel with a wide range of clients and project types.  He takes a hands-on approach to understanding building systems and working through complex issues.  By appreciating the interests and viewpoints of all stakeholders, he focuses on partnering and problem solving to achieve efficient and effective results.

In addition to his technical prowess, Jay’s operations and project management background allow him to provide an immediate positive impact to Code Red’s growing team. Prior to joining the firm, Jay was an Associate Principal / Senior Project Manager at WB Engineers+Consultants in Boston, MA. He is licensed as a Fire Protection Engineer and LEED AP accredited. Jay holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Fire Protection Engineering from WPI.

Janna also has experience performing existing building evaluations, reviewing design drawings, and developing life safety plans.

Prior to joining Code Red Consultants, Janna worked in codes and standards development where she was responsible for overseeing documents primarily involving flammable and combustible liquids. Janna enjoys working in a field that spans such a wide range of industries and is grateful to work with such a knowledgeable team, from whom she continues to learn every day.

His project work includes building surveys, third-party inspections, plan reviews, and developing unique solutions to code compliance challenges.

Lea’s experience includes conducting life safety assessments, designing fire alarm systems, managing performance-based egress design projects, and executing smoke control testing plans for natural and exhaust type smoke control systems. Her project work has spanned healthcare, hospitality, business, and detention facilities.
