Pete is a Sr Principal and Vice President at Code Red Consultants with over twenty years providing fire protection engineering and life safety consulting services. His extensive experience focuses on reducing fire risk to buildings over their entire life cycle, from architectural design to post-occupancy and life safety system maintenance. Pete has a particular interest in mitigating construction building fires by working hand-in-hand with property developers, general contractors, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction to maintain a safe environment for construction personnel, first responders, and abutters.
A proactive and trusted advisor to his clients, Pete often communicates with regulatory officials such as building inspectors and fire officials to present code compliance strategies on projects. His portfolio includes college and university campus buildings, athletic facilities, federal government buildings, manufacturing facilities, high-rise office and residential buildings, laboratories, shopping malls, and other mixed-use buildings. Pete’s work has spanned private developments and publicly funded projects with total construction costs ranging in size from $1 million to $2 billion.
As one of four Vice Presidents on Code Red Consultants’ leadership team, Pete takes to heart the importance of a strong office culture, even when the company is in rapid growth mode. His personal approach layers team mentorship, on-the-job learning, and a little fun into the work day. The people. We are a family at Code Red Consultants and treat each other as such. If someone is in a tight spot on an impossible deadline, there is never a shortage of team members willing to step up and lend a hand. As the “patriarch” of the office, it brings me great joy to witness the selflessness and camaraderie that is continuously demonstrated by our staff.
