Sr Principal, Vice President

Chris is a Sr Principal and Vice President of Code Red Consultants with more than fifteen years of fire protection and life safety consulting experience. He excels at leading project teams and working with clients to ensure that new and existing buildings are safe and code compliant. Chris’ client-first attitude and passion for his work drive him to engineer solutions for complex fire protection and life safety issues.

He prides himself on being a versatile, practice-based principal that “rolls up his sleeves” on projects, often performing construction inspections, engineered designs, and detailed project reviews and code analysis on an array of project types including assembly and educational facilities, hospitals, high-rise office and residential buildings, hazardous materials storage and processing areas, and other mixed-use buildings. He enjoys interacting with clients and aiding their decision-making process by coupling his practical field experience with his code knowledge to serve in an advisory capacity. Chris has worked closely with various Authorities Having Jurisdiction in his career, including federal, state and local building and fire officials, Department of Public Health Officials from various states, Joint Commission inspectors, and Center for Medicaid and Medicare Service representatives and inspectors. Outside of his consulting role, he also performs smoke control system, firestop system, and fire door special inspections.

Chris strives to remain at the forefront of professional education in his field and has presented extensively on a number of topics. He especially enjoys teaching and presenting to clients, colleagues, and officials alike. As one of four Senior Principals on Code Red Consultants’ leadership team, Chris plays an integral role in the firm’s strategic planning, financial planning and reporting, and employee mentorship.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The most rewarding part of this job is earning a client’s trust to serve as their advisor by delivering on projects. It is incredibly motivating to know they view you as an integral member of their team and not just a commodity serving a required role.
