Life Safety Consultant

Before joining Code Red Consultants, Brian worked at UMass Chan Medical School/UMass Memorial Medical Center for eight years. He spent his first four years in the Fire Safety Department, where he conducted inspection and testing on various fire safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, pre-action & dry sprinkler systems, fire pumps, fire alarm devices, elevator recalls, fire doors, and was involved in commissioning of new/renovated areas of buildings.

Subsequently, Brian then transitioned to the Occupational Safety and Environment of Care department at UMass, where he led the fire safety program at the UMass University Campus.  His responsibilities included ensuring regulatory compliance for Joint Commission, conducting over forty fire drill annually, coordinating Operating Room/Perioperative fire drills, and implementing a staff training program on fire extinguisher usage.

In addition to his work at UMass, Brian served as a member of the fire service for the towns of Auburn and Charlton for a total of eight years.

What is something that colleagues and clients might not know about you?

When I was 17, I played hockey for a Team USA Selects 18-and-under team and traveled to Hungary to compete against teams from around the world.
