Family is one of Code Red’s main core values and our time spent together is never wasted. This summer, we gathered at Kimball Farm in Westford for a tented BBQ and little something for everyone in the family from Mini Golf to Bean Bag Toss to Bumper Cars!

March brought us together at Code Red Headquarters for our annual St Patrick’s Day Trivia event. Our extraordinary host, James McLaughlin, led us on a captivating journey through a wide range of topics from animated TV shows to everything green. The atmosphere was on fire (pun intended) as teams competed head-to-head, with the tension building until the very end. The ultimate victors emerged after a thrilling tie breaker question. How tall is the Statue of Liberty anyways?
CHILI: a spicy dish of meat, onions, chilies or chili powder, and usually beans.
Used in a sentence:
His/Her favorite food is chili.
I’ve made a chili for tonight.
The staff at Code Red Consultants know how to keep warm on cold winter days. We keep it hot by holding our Annual Chili Cook Off in February. This all-inclusive contest included submissions ranging from a standard chili to chicken chili to vegan chili. It’s always fun to try new things and exchange recipes.
The winner of this year’s highly prestigious award of the Code Red Consultants Apron goes to James McLaughlin. James is an Associate Principal, Senior Project Manager in the firm specializing in Construction Fire Safety services. Not only is he a valued member of our team, but he is an excellent cook too!
The back-drop for the 2022 Code Red Consultants Holiday celebration was the rustic, yet elegant, Barn at Gibbet Hill in Groton, MA. With 9 strong years in the fire and life safety industry, we have much to be thankful for and much to celebrate. We spent the evening enjoying a fine meal, festive music, and making memories with the amazing team at Code Red.
At Code Red Consultants, we believe hygiene, and keeping a professional appearance is important… especially during “No-Shave November”! But things did get a little hairy when our team set out to raise awareness on Men’s Health issues, such as Prostate Cancer, by putting down the razors. While some couldn’t “bare” the thought of a beard, others enjoyed the friendly office competition. The more days that passed, the more funds were raised. At the end of the month, we were able to meet our financial goal!

As part of our culture, Code Red is always looking for new ways to play and connect. With the amount of focus that “working” often requires, it’s easy to forget to hit pause and take time to play or learn something new.
In the spirit of play, we took to the slopes at Nashoba Valley for some snow tubing, tapped into our “inner child” by participating in National Tie-Dye Day, and organized a pub-style trivia night at Code Red headquarters. As we strived to connect and give back, Code Red volunteered at the Boston Marathon’s 3.4 Mile Hydration Station. We’re also proud to share that more than half of our office became CPR and AED Certified in the spring.
Changing up our routine keeps our team energized and increases pathways to communication. Plus, when you pepper in a friendly competition as this group often does, our time together is always well spent.
