Code Red Consultants continued their annual tradition of ensuring Boston’s marathoners stay hydrated. At Ashland’s Mile Marker 3, the team of 30 fire protection engineers worked hard to pass water and Gatorade to thirsty runners on what turned out to be an unseasonably warm and humid day. Andrew Harrod, son of Principal Peter Harrod, was one of the tens of thousands of runners who appreciated a cup of fluids at this early point in the race. Aside from providing behind the scenes access to one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events, this assignment allowed us to put a different spin on our team-first approach as we served these deserving runners.
