Sr. Project Manager

James (Jimmy) Lugar brings over two decades of experience in fire and life safety consulting, with a career spanning key markets including science and technology, healthcare, residential, assembly, and commercial office sectors. He has worked in Atlanta, Raleigh, and Baltimore, and also served on contract with the Pentagon Fire Marshal. Additionally, Jimmy held a role as a delegated Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), further deepening his regulatory and technical expertise.

In 2025, Jimmy returned to consulting with Code Red Consultants, where he brings a detail-oriented and collaborative approach to every project. His expertise includes building and fire code consulting, design of active and passive fire protection systems, fire alarm and mass notification systems, as well as inspection and commissioning services.

What do you love most about your job?

I enjoy problem solving: Being able to investigate and research an issue to determine a safe and beneficial solution.
