Emmanuel (Manny) Vargas joins Code Red Consultants with a Master of Science in Fire Protection Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, both from the University of Maryland. As a Fire Protection and Life Safety Consultant, he thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and primarily supports projects in the residential and science/technology sectors. With a strong focus on smoke control and pressurization systems, Manny brings a deep understanding of relevant codes and standards to every project. He enjoys tackling both routine and complex challenges, delivering solutions tailored to his clients’ needs, and remains committed to continuous learning, particularly in performance-based design.
Taylor Walker joins Code Red Consultants with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Fire Protection Engineering, both from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. She joined Code Red Consultants full-time following a successful internship, bringing technical expertise and hands-on experience that make her an essential part of the field team. Taylor supports projects involving NFPA 241 compliance and NFPA 4/ITCx commissioning, and she thrives on being on-site, collaborating directly with clients, contractors, and project teams to solve challenges in real time. Her passion for building construction and seamlessly integrating life safety systems ensures that every project meets CRC’s high standards for safety and quality.
Justin Nguyen joins Code Red Consultants with a Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland. After previously interning with the firm, Justin is thrilled to return and officially begin his career with our team. He will primarily support projects in the residential, academic, office, and assembly markets, bringing enthusiasm for expanding his technical knowledge and learning from colleagues across disciplines to deliver the best solutions for clients. The multifaceted nature of the fire protection industry keeps Justin engaged, as every project offers a new challenge and an opportunity to grow, deepen his expertise, and contribute meaningfully to the team’s success.
Eric Montiverdi joins Code Red Consultants with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Fire Protection Engineering, both from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. With hands-on fire service experience, he brings practical knowledge and a strong technical foundation to the team. Eric previously interned with Code Red Consultants, gaining valuable exposure to fire protection projects and life safety consulting. He supports a wide range of projects, assisting with the design and review of fire protection and fire alarm systems, conducting third-party reviews, and providing comprehensive life safety code consulting across multiple project types.
