Code Red Consultants

Code Red Consultants is seeking a full-time Account Receivable Specialist to join our dynamic team. Our administrative team plays a vital role in the success of our company and is viewed as an integral part of our project delivery team. This role will be responsible for supporting the accounting group with various weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc tasks related to invoicing, collections, project planning, and database maintenance. This person will report to our Vice President, Strategy & Finance while collaborating closely with our Sr Accountant, Project Managers and Office Administrators within the company. This role will perform a critical support function as part of our overall project process.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES

  • Assist with invoicing process, including preparation of supporting documents, receipts, and final invoice submittals.
  • Assist with collections, reach out to customers when account becomes past due, request payment status and document communications.
  • Provide support to clients with discrepancies on their account working with the Project Managers in a collaborative manner.
  • Assist with maintaining project information in our Project & Accounting system.
  • Assist with company project close-out requirements, including project file management.
  • Assist with special projects that require large amounts of data entry.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to office as requested.
  • Assist project managers with administrative support services to gather project data (project name, address, scope of work, project fee, etc.) on prospects, opportunities and sold work.
  • Input project data accurately and efficiently within our internal systems.

QUALIFICATIONS & JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent training in accounting and billing required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data entry using MS office suite and other software programs.
  • Excellent proofing/auditing skills with attention to detail.
  • Takes initiative and able to work independently with minimal supervision, or in team.
  • Motivated and deadline-driven with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Project management & accounting software program.

Shift: 40-hour work week, Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00PM

The Design Project Manager role is an opportunity to provide professional assistance on complex fire and life safety issues through fire protection design, code consulting and fire & life safety-related special inspection and testing services for designers, builders, developers, owners, and property managers.

Candidates applying for this position should have at least 5 years of experience within fire alarm and fire suppression and be a licensed Professional Engineer. As a Project Manager at Code Red Consultants, you will work with, and under the guidance of, senior engineers to manage projects independently while assisting other Project Managers on projects providing the following services to our clients:

Fire Alarm

  • Prepare fire alarm system design drawings and specifications involving concept development, retrofit, construction-level, and/or new system installations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external team members, authorities having jurisdiction and Clients.
  • Perform evaluations of existing buildings’ fire alarm systems to verify functionality and sequence of operations.
  • Perform drawing reviews at various stages of a project for compliance with applicable codes & standards.
  • Perform 3rd party reviews of construction document and shop drawing submittals for various fire alarm systems.
  • Developing and/or reviewing system(s) sequence of operations.
  • Performing commissioning and inspections of fire alarm and other integrated systems.

Fire Suppression

  • Prepare fire sprinkler and/or suppression system drawings and specifications involving concept development, retrofit, construction-level, and/or new system installations.
  • Perform evaluations of existing building’s sprinkler system(s) to verify the existing system design meets the protection requirements per the applicable codes & standards.
  • Developing and/or reviewing system test plans.
  • Performing commissioning and inspections of fire sprinkler systems.
  • Attend meetings with contractors, owners, and authorities having jurisdiction to review design strategies and documentation.
  • Determine design criteria for various design/build projects.
  • Perform 3rd party reviews of construction document and shop drawing submittals of water-based fire protection systems.
  • Design and hydraulically calculate complete water-based fire protection (i.e. sprinkler, fire pump, and standpipe systems) using hydraulic calculation software.
  • Providing technical expertise to your team and other teams throughout the organization.

POSITION EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of design experience.
  • Professional Engineering licensure is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Architectural, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited college or university preferred, but not required. A degree in Fire Protection Engineering (FPE) is also preferred, not required.
  • AutoCAD, REVIT and AutoSPRINK experience preferred.
  • Leadership, strong work ethic, ability to work independently, self-motivated, and team oriented.
  • Capable of managing high pressure, deadline driven, situations and dealing with changes.
  • This role requires the ability to solve technical and functional problems utilizing critical thinking, thorough research, and open communication.

This entry level position is ideal for recent graduates with a STEM degree, ideally with a focus on Fire Protection engineering.

  • Writing comprehensive code reports outlining a building’s fire protection and life safety features and its compliance with applicable codes.
