Code Red Consultants is seeking a full-time Billing Analyst to join our dynamic team. Our administrative team plays a vital role in the success of our company and is viewed as an integral part of our project delivery team. This person will collaborate closely with our project managers, internal Sr. Accountant, Office Administrators, and the Chief Operating Officer within the company. This role will perform a critical support function as part of our overall project process.

The position involves the candidate driving results through the following methods:

  • Communicate with project managers to gather project data (project name, address, scope of work, project fee, etc.) on prospects, opportunities and sold work.
  • Input project data accurately and efficiently within our internal systems.
  • Prepare, verify accuracy of billing data, and assist with invoice issuance.
  • Assist with accounts receivable follow-up.
  • Assist with company project close-out requirements, including project file management.
  • Assist with special projects that require large amounts of data entry.
  • Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files, processing paperwork and miscellaneous project related assistance.
  • Development of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate); Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is preferred but not required.
  • Experience as a Billing Analyst or similar role & responsibilities within Administration or Document Management, highly desirable.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

The position involves the candidate driving results through the following methods:

  • Collaborate with team members to understand necessary data collection and reporting to identify areas of future investment of human capital within the business.
  • Analyze data and structure large data sets.
  • Create reports from project management software for Senior Leadership to aid in the decision-making regarding sales, resource planning and recruiting
  • Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings.
  • Assist with company project close-out requirements.
  • Assist with project file management from project inception through project completion.
  • Assist project managers with miscellaneous project related support.
  • [Nice to have] Assist project managers with review of project related documents including but not limited to: Request for proposals, Contract documents, Payment terms, Management of project schedules and deliverable dates, Change orders, Lien waivers, Insurance information

Education and Experience:

  • At least 2-4 years of related experience required.
  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications, highly desirable
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in related field, which may include Business, helpful but not required.

The Consultant role is an opportunity to provide professional assistance on fire and life safety issues through code consulting, fire protection design, and fire & life safety related special inspection and testing services for designers, builders, developers, owners, and property managers.

This entry level position is ideal for recent graduates with a STEM degree, ideally with a focus on Fire Protection engineering.

As a consultant at Code Red Consultants, you will work with and under the guidance of professional engineers and subject matter experts to provide the following services to our clients:

  • Conducting on-site visual inspection of existing buildings for compliance with building, fire, life safety, and accessibility codes.
  • Writing comprehensive code reports outlining a building’s fire protection and life safety features and its compliance with applicable codes.
  • Performing code reviews of architectural and engineering plans for compliance with applicable codes.
  • Attending meetings with clients, owners, and authorities having jurisdiction to review code compliance strategies and solutions.
  • Providing performance-based design solutions such as fire modeling, egress modeling, and structural fire resistance analyses.
  • Developing code summary, life safety, and egress plans illustrating fire protection and life safety features of buildings in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Performing commissioning and inspections of fire protection and life safety systems.
  • Conducting fire stop special inspections.

  • AutoCAD and/or Revit experience preferred.
